When rumors surface that an infamous assassin’s guild has returned to Selmere, Fen knows her time is running out. She sets out to dispel the rumor, but instead stumbles into an elaborate conspiracy. When the Queen’s Guard hauls Fen in as a suspect, she manages to finagle a deal to earn her freedom once and for all. She just has to save Selmere first.
Fen soon finds herself working for the queen alongside the uptight commander of the Queen’s Guard, as they attempt to unravel a conspiracy and dismantle a weapon threatening to rip Selmere apart at the very seams.
But as the shadows of her past close in, Fen is pushed to her limits. Will she let Selmere fall and betray her new companions, or risk it all to fight for her friends, her home, and her freedom?
